We are looking for a Digitalization architect to the Engines business in Kongsberg, Norway.
Join the digital transformation of GKN Aerospace Engines! We are seeking a talented and motivated Digitalization architect to join our Engines Business in Kongsberg.
As a member of our global team and the Site management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digitalization solutions. These platforms serve as integration, data collection, analytics, and visualization tools across all GKN Aerospace Engines sites.
Opportunities
As a Digitalization Architect you will report to the VP of Engines IT Digital office and also be part of the management team in Kongsberg. Engines IT Digital team consist of skilled and knowledgeable team member whose role is to provide the business global digital solutions in line with the business requirements.
You will be a trusted partner to the business in providing Operational Technology applications and solutions, working alongside the business functions and IT security and IT operations teams.

Key responsibilities
- Drive and guide digitalization solutions for the GKN Aerospace site in Kongsberg.
- Keeping in contact with internal as well as external customers.
- Make sure that constant improvement is part of daily routine.
- Describe to your department their role in reaching our strategic goals and driving change to contribute to these goals.
- Ensuring the health and safety of your team members.
Qualifications
- You have a technical education at academic level.
- You have minimum five years of experience in Aerospace Engineering and/or other relevant experiences
- You have experience in working with Continuous Improvements tasks and methods. Experience from working with various manufacturing processes would be an asset.
- It is essential that you have strong customer focus and good communication skills as networking and creating trusting relationships is important in this role.
- Understanding of automation and knowledge of production of aerospace components (or similar industries).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
