Personal information is information that can be linked to you as an individual. It can be name and contact details, but also a lot of other information that can be linked to you more indirectly. For us, it is important that you know what kind of personal data we process, so that you can protect your rights according to the data protection legislation.

GKN Aerospace logs traffic to anonymously. This information cannot in any way be traced back to you as an individual.


When visitors post comments on the page, the information entered in the comment form is stored in addition to the visitor’s IP address and the visitor’s browser version. This is done to help avoid frivolous comments.

An anonymous text string generated on the basis of your email address (also called a “hash”) may be sent to Gravatar to verify whether you have an account. If you upload photos to the site, avoid uploading photos that contain information about the location where they were taken (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the page can download and extract such information from images on the page.


If you send us an inquiry via one of our contact forms, the information you leave will be stored on our servers. The information will only be used to process your request and will be deleted if you contact us and ask for this.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the website from which the embedded content originates.

These websites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed tracking systems from third parties, and monitor what you do through this embedded content. This also includes tracking your actions via the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into the website.

In order to measure the use of the website, Google Analytics collects information via cookies. These are text files stored in the browser’s memory of those who visit the website. These provide us with information about, for example, the type of browser you use, how you found our website, and which subpages you visited.

Google Analytics also collects the IP addresses of the users of the website. An IP address is a unique identifier that is assigned to each individual device that connects to the Internet. Google Analytics needs to retrieve this information in order to distinguish users from each other. After collection, the IP addresses are anonymised so that website visitors cannot be traced back to a specific piece of hardware or individual.


In order to show you relevant ads, Facebook offers targeting to users of a website. This is possible because the website has installed a so-called “Facebook pixel” – which collects data from those who visit the website. You can turn off cookies in your browser at any time (as explained above), and you can also ensure that Facebook does not show you ads based on your online habits by opting out here
