As a Production Planner at GKN, you are an important piece in ensuring the availability of the right parts at the right time for our production lines. As a Production Planner, you must have an interest in and a good knowledge of logistics.
You will have responsibility for a broad range of products and a varied workday.
The position reports to Planning Manager, Sjur Ulleberg.

Main tasks:
- Plan the material flow required to produce according to the delivery schedules.
- Maintain a production plan for the workshop that supports the delivery schedules and efficient production.
- Optimize and improve start-up and delivery precision.
- Reduce lead times and capital commitment in our material flow.
- Coordinate and control the availability of raw materials and plan accordingly.

- Work to identify bottlenecks and constraints in the flow. Create action plans.
- Act as a link between procurement, central planning, logistics, and operations.
- Gain control over the overall flow, lead times, and buffers.
Desired qualifications:
- Relevant higher education from a vocational school, college or university.
- Good technical and economic understanding.
- Good understanding of logistics.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience and familiarity with modern production philosophy.
- Experience with SAP and Excel.
- Good oral and written language skills in Norwegian and English are required.
